Do-Re(volt)-Mi

It's been a very interesting week..Been busy with uni and some accommodation stuffs..Dan minggu ini ditutup dengan a very good football game yesterday..I have a new club..A proper club..Semalam main centre back, and central midfielder, played well, clean sheet and one assist..Best gak main ngan European team ni sebab diorg fit..So I can pass anywhere I wanted most of the time, and I also had a lot of covers behind me everytime..:-).. Oops, tercerita pasal bola lak..

My God-given life has been so good and kind so far personally, but at the same time I don't want to forget about everything that's happening around the world either..There are some inspirational events going on,especially in this last few weeks around the globe..

The most and foremost is definitely watching the courage of the people in their uprising towards the unfairness and corrupted regime in the Middle East..Also not to forget is the earthquake strike in Christchurch,NZ..Since Australia is very near to the Kiwi island,I can really feel the pain of the people, and it was a really devastating.. Some cheated death, but some didn't make it unfortunately..:-(..But what really inspiring is the courage of the rescuers and survivors while facing something that they've never experienced before in their life..

Watching those events in the Middle East has reminded me on my earlier days in 1997,when Anwar and some of his close aides were discussing about the chances of having a revolution against the government of Malaysia.. Outside the house in Bukit Damansara,I sit next to Malek Hussein,a former student activist and ISA detainee in 1974,together with some other 'kaplas' and there's a rising talk that Hishamuddin Rais gonna lead the cause..We,students, during that time were asked to join this new movement..I didn't agree of this idea and that was it..No more Anwar.. Not long after, the idea was scrapped and they chose 'Reformasi' instead..

Whatever it is,if there is something for us to revolt on,it must be based on some concrete reasons..We should have definite reasons rather than just fighting for a person..And it must not be done through street demonstrations..But, IF it can't be avoided and when the street is the only option we have,it must not be initiated by any political party..~Revolution must come from the people,by the people, and for the people, for the sake of the country~ ...then,political parties may take over,in the name of democracy..

Kain orang

Ben Ali,Hosni,Gaddafi either by accident or designed, are found to be exploiting their countries' resources for their own gains..They rewarded their own selves and family members, believing that they deserved it..They are secret billionaires.. They think that the oil and gas are theirs, not as theirs to manage as a leader..Imagine if we have our own Gaddafi?..Would we prefer to have Petronas,or 'Gaddafi's  Inc.' kind of policy?..One man show..

Next in line are those royalties from Bahrain,Syria,Saudi and Jordan.. Hmm,we shall see what'll happen.. Personally,I would like to see some changes in Saudi..Really can't wait to see all these Muslim countries to have a pool of good leaders, combining to be a world superpower, united and rebuild our civilization with the real Islamic values..We need some powerful, but at the same time modest leaders..

Power and position given should come parallel with responsibilities..The country should be rich, not the leaders and families..Try to compare the lifestyle principles of the Gates,Warren Buffett or even Zuckerberg with these so-called Muslim oil elites..I think we should be ashamed, big time!

Changes in the region should bring us hope on Palestine..After more than 60 years,we need a new direction..

Kain sendiri

Back at home, lately, other than power corrupted politician leaders and their families, there are talks about power abuse by some of our royalty members too..Less than 20 years ago,we heard about their beatings and killings of civilians..Because of that,we amended the constitution..Nowadays, it's about selling 'datukship'..To add more salt on the wound, some underground talks have surfaced about how they overspend state's money and resources..It has become an open secret..And the problem is-they are 'above' politics..

We love our kings..We do..That's why we have to do something..All those stories about hijacking state projects and properties, sand sales to a foreign country, exploiting forest reserves, excessive gambling habits, limitless expenses on entertainments and luxuries etc, must be stopped.. Nope,I don't mean that people have to stop talking..But to sit and watch a royal family member buying 7 imported Ferrari cars for fun at 'one go' for example,is not going to help either..What I mean, there are limits on everything.. Something must be done before it's too late, before the people get fed up and revolt..The country should come first before anything else..and we can't keep on living in denials..

Perth Waterfront Development

Perth will always be my favourite city..:-)..This is why-Kampung Perth~..huhu..

Read the article below..This is what I mean whenever we talk about development..Just wondering if this project happen to be in Malaysia, mesti ada kutu-kutu buat facebook group-'Satu juta rakyat menentang mega projek'-agaknya..huhu..Di Kuantan, ada cadangan nak buat waterfront project jugak last two years, but ended up with some strong objections by the locals, and the state government gave in..Sigh..Bila laa negeri aku nak cantik dan maju sikit.. Semuanya sebab politik dan campur tangan raja..

Yes,I know that education, health services, transportation system, etc are very important, like how people said in their Warisan Merdeka arguments (for the backgrounds, look here -http://myotadura.blogspot.com/2010/11/warisan-merdeka.html), but we simply cannot deny the significant of commercial landmark projects..Perth pun kalau diikutkan sebenarnya agak slow dari segi pembangunan, tapi sejak Labor Party pegang both Federal and State government, everything seems so good..

Can't wait to see how Perth's gonna be in few years time..Cable cars to Kings Park?..Imagine that..Jangan Abo jer banyak naik sudah..Gua pantang dengar abo abo nih..huhu!.. Sayang, stadium jer tak jadi buat sebab tak dapat jadi host World Cup 2018/22..

Anyway,I fully supported this project Julia!(..macam rakyat Aussie lak aku..huhu..)..Enjoy reading!

City waterfront plans revealed

GARETH PARKER, The West Australian February 15, 2011, 9:15 am
The State Government has released detailed plans for the Waterfront development in front of the city on the Esplanade foreshore. Premier Colin Barnett announced Cabinet has approved $270 million funding for the project, money that will begin to flow from the May state budget.

Detailed design plans for the much anticipated redevelopment of Perth Waterfront were released this morning.
The construction timeframe is a tight 30 months, with total development costs to the Government of $440 million.

The Government, which will not develop the commercial buildings but sell lots to the private sector, expects to recoup about $170 million in land sales, leaving a net project cost to taxpayers of $270 million.
While images released today include provision for a cable car to Kings Park and an indigenous cultural centre, those projects are not included in the $270 million project cost.

A cable car project would likely be developed by a private operator, while Mr Barnett promised an indigenous cultural centre “of national significance” would be a second-term project if the Government was re-elected.

“I would like to reassure the people of Perth – there has been a lot of talking, a lot of designs and discussion over the Perth waterfront for at least the last 30 years. The project now is formally underway," he said.

“Preparation of the site will begin immediately after the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in October this year which will pave the way for major earthworks for the exciting redevelopment of Perth Waterfront in early 2012,” he said.

“This is a significant milestone for the project and a tangible step towards its delivery.“The new waterfront will ensure Perth remains a contemporary, liveable and globally competitive city.”The State Cabinet decision follows the completion of Phase Two planning, design and site investigation works for the project, undertaken by the Department of Planning.

Planning Minister John Day was pleased to release details and design features of the project.“Our priority is to focus on delivering the fundamental infrastructure on which these amazing buildings will be constructed, including the inlet, the parks and public spaces, and the roads and services,” Mr Day said.

“The ‘Waterfront Promenade’ is the main feature of the project. It covers 1.5 hectares and links up with ‘The Island’.

“‘The Island’ is designed to be a relaxed place for children and adults and is connected to the ‘Waterfront Promenade’ by a sculptural pedestrian and cycle bridge.

“Station Park is the gateway to the new waterfront. The park will be filled with trees and native plants and includes a water feature.

“Cafes, bars and restaurants will open out to the waterfront from surrounding buildings. People will have access to the water from The Landing on the northern edge of the inlet or the ‘The Jetty’ with short term mooring.

“The Indigenous Cultural Centre will be situated over the water at the southern end of William Street and is planned to be a nationally significant centre for indigenous culture, art and learning. The timing and budget for this will be set as the major construction of the waterfront nears completion.

“Once completed, Perth Waterfront will be an exciting new city destination with direct and uninterrupted connection to the Swan River.”The waterfront project will reflect more closely the Swan River’s original shoreline.

Final thesis punya architecture projek pun dah gempak aritu..At least ada laa tempat nak bawak orang jalan-jalan kalau diorg datang Kuantan nanti..Takdelaa bawak gi makannnnnn karipap jer sokmo..huhu..

'Raja' Kenny D

The King
Just realized that the last time I wrote about Liverpool was after our win against Chelski, last few months with those two wonder goals from Fernando..

Now forget about Torres..Jangan kutuk dia..We still have our Stevie..And the most important of all,now we have KENNY DAGLISH..So don't worry too much people..:-)

As I said in my previous post,we need some hungry and motivated team players..Not those who make personal glory as their main priority..That's what Liverpool is always about..Never about individuals.. Liverpudlians stick together during bad and good times..Never gives up on anyone..

Before the last tranfer window,I suggested few players..dalam blog laaa maksudnya..huhu.. Here-http://myotadura.blogspot.com/2010/11/lets-kop-to-top.html..Tapi sorg pun diorg tak beli..wakaka! But anyhow,Kenny did better things than I could have ever imagined..In my last post,I said we need 3 new players at least,a left back,a holding midfielder, and an attacking player..So I listed a few in mind..but guess what Kenny did??

  • He put Glen Johnson on the left, and brought Kelly in as right back..England punya regular right back main belah kiri??Who would have thought of that??Anek haremmm..punya genius!!!Hasilnya, takyah beli sapa-sapa,save duit, players improve a lot..
  • As for the holding, defensive or central midfielder,Lucas has improved a lot,but we need another good player..But instead of buying a new player,Kenny installed Aurelio (a natural left back/midfielder),into that position..Gila!..and it works!!!huhu..
  • He sold Torres, bought two good young strikers, and put Meireles into more attacking position.. It's like you lost a player, but you gained three more top-quality attackers out of it..Brilliant!!
Cara main pun dah beza, passing+pressing football, tactically pun dah improved banyak, more dynamic, more option..3-5-2..3-6-1..4-5-1..Tak static macam Hodgson's 4-4-2 long ball game..So,hopefully things can only be better..:-)

Dan,kita ada satu lagi secret yang belum di reveal..and he's only 16!!!Remember this name..Raheem Sterling...I believe it won't be that long before we see another star in Anfield..Especially with some magical touch from King Kenny..~and You'll Never Walk Alone~

p/s: Semalam budak ni score 5 bijik in Liverpool's reserve match against Southend..watch the video..No tapped in..Semua nice individual goals..We won 9-0..Bought by Rafa early last year..Looks very promising indeed..Wearing Kenny's no.7 too..:-)..I think he's much better than Maxi and Jovanovic at the moment..and we need a left winger..

~Happy Maulidur Rasul..and have a good day~

'Raja' Mubarak

Wallahualam..

p/s: As much as I don't believe in street demonstration,I believe what happened in Egypt is inevitable and came naturally by the people. That's what happen when you misused power and the country's resources. What happened has proved that, Democracy, even with its weaknesses,is still the better choice. Good luck Egypt~ So who's next?..
