Malaysia Got Talent

While juggling between this tonnes of assignments, life and others,I tried to squeeze some time for this blog..Quite a lot of things have been experienced in these few weeks..

Last few weeks,I went to Sydney to grab the opportunity to meet our DPM with some familiar faces of Umno Club Australia/NZ..Didn't involved in any of the formal functions though..But I need that kind of environment..To have seen a lot of inspiring young people who cares about their country in kind of therapy for me..It's not all about politics..I've left that kind of scenes for nearly three years, and I need that type of occassion to reinstall the interest in me..Also took the opportunity to meet Deeni and bumped into Alia after so long haven't meet each other..Sydney is always nice as usual..

The way I see the function of Umno Club is quite different..In my opinion,Umno is lacked in terms of youth political development,in a way, compared to the oppositions..We need more people below their 30's to be given some chance to prove their worth in important positions..We need more MPs,or Aduns made out of youngsters who are fresh and full of visions..Not just those already successful in life or some wealthy young businessmen..These young people are still clean and not corrupted in terms of their character..Let them gain and learn from the inside,as how Najib,Mat Taib,Tun Ghafar,Isa Samad, and some few others started their political journey in those golden days of Umno..Perhaps,2 or 3 to become MBs or deputy ministers..Umno Club is not bad place to find some new talents..In current situation,we need more of our own Izzahs,Nik Nazmis,Hannah Yeohs (just examples)..

I've written this article three days ago,and suddenly yesterday,Khairy made the same remarks about Umno Club..I totally agree with him this time..and even with his opening speech in Pemuda..Something new indeed..He looks a bit like a changed person now..Kudos to him..

Believe me,there's a lot of aspiring young talent around, but they never got their chances back home..Some of them even chose to stay back and settle down here..One thing to be cautioned is,don't just let the sons and daughters of Umno elitists to involve..Sometimes,even Umno Club seems to be monopolized by them,so that these clubs can get more attentions or money to be allocated by the headquarter in KL..It's not a wrong thing, but at the same time,we should spread this to other people as well, get them in and get them to know what it is all about..Introduce them to the atmosphere..

Well,it's time to back to my daily things now..Haven't got much time to spend, not even to watch football, but I do managed to sneak around sometimes to see the feedback of the budget and Umno Assembly this year..
Spring has finally come, the weather is getting better..Just can't wait to finish this semester and travel.. Assigments really killing me this time..Anyway,it feels good to blog again..hehe..Adios..

Happy weekend everyone!

Merdeka..Abroad..Perth

In less than a week,we are going to celebrate our 53rd Merdeka Day.. Just wanna share with you another experience, of me as a Malaysian who lives far away from home during merdeka...:-)..

In 2007, I got the opportunity to become the project manager for our Merdeka celebration again.. (click here for 2006).. Hmm,when we think about "Merdeka", there's only one thing in mind..UNITY.. So,that year, the basic idea was to involve everyone, all students..The reality in Perth during that time was, there were some gaps among the students community..We wanted to bridge that gap..So,for the first time ever,Umno, Masca, Petronas, and all Malaysian Student's Society of (Curtin,UWA,ECU,Murdoch), joint-ventured to organize it..The rest, was history..:-)

Other than the opening speech that I had to do on that day,

Merdeka..Merdeka

 The Perth experience
 Merdeka Joy in Perth

Just found these 2 old online newspaper articles in theStar,(click on the above)..The first one includes some interviews of me and Zac..In conjuction with this Merdeka month, let us bring back some memories of the unity of Malaysian Perthians.. It was our first big scale Merdeka Celebration in Perth ever, with Education Minister as the VIP.. As for me,organizing events like this has always becomes a kind of enjoyment, with the help of a lot of good, easy going people...2006,first year as VP for UMNO WA.. We had fun..

(tak tau laa apa Hadry kelentong Tok Pa,Didi sengihhh jer..huhu)
(A banner full of students' signatures & Merdeka greetings to be sent to the Prime Minister)

Kak Ijan, Wan Nadiah, dan seperti biasa, Zac and Pok Nik time tuh, adalah the mannnnnn...takde diorg ni semua, tak jadi semua mende:-)

It was a beautiful experience, full of Merdeka spirits..If only I can get more pictures and videos to show how happening it was..The minister told me personally that he enjoyed it so much, and stayed from the afternoon till dinner time..Gua sempat nyanyi untuk Aidil punya band lagi malam tuh..huhu...Tapi bila menteri dah balik laa..haha

Hmm..
Nak tergelak pun ada tengok budak-budak ni nyanyi lagu patriotik time tu, tapi sebab diorg lah semua aktiviti UMNO WA meriah, sepanjang dua tahun saya dalam committee.. Next post, might be 2007 punya celebration..Lagi gempak daripada yang ni..Till then, SELAMAT MENYAMBUT BULAN KEMERDEKAAN~
