Ada ke patut,dah boleh menang lamaaaa dahhh,nakkk jugakkk tunggu sampai penalti..Hampeh betul...Banyak tengok Hindustan diorang ni!haha..Tak kisah laa,janji menang,game and spirit superb cukup..

Kebetulan...

Last few posts,memang banyak tulis perkara-perkara mengenai akidah..Dan sekali tiba-tiba,lately ni,banyak pulak perkara yang berlaku di Malaysia,juga berkenaan akidah..Last week I asked YB Zul if we really need 'Perhimpunan Sejuta Umat' yang akan berlangsung hari Sabtu ini di Malaysia..Dan semalam,gua diserang bertalu-talu,apabila mempersoalkan bagaimana sebuah perhimpunan,dapat mempertahankan akidah manusia..Tambahan pula,saya dikatakan seorang yang penakut apabila berdepan soal akidah..So here is my answer..

Takut?

Siapa yang takut?..dan kenapa kita perlu takut?
Adakah kita terlalu lemah dan longlai,apabila berdepan dengan orang bukan Islam?
Adakah akidah kita mudah terpesong apabila membaca Bible?
Apakah akidah kita goyang apabila masuk ke gereja?
Soalan saya,apa sudah jadi pada umat Islam di negara kita?

Orang Australia takut sebab Islam adalah agama yang paling berkembang pesat..
Malaysia?..Bimbang agama umatnya terpesong sesat..

Apa cerita?
Bukankah dah terbalik tu?

Kita berhimpun beramai-ramai,seolah-olah kita ditindas di negara kita sendiri..Sedangkan hakikatnya,kita yang memegang kuasa,majoriti kita adalah Islam,dan kita mempunyai pelbagai kelebihan di dalam perlembagaan..

Jawapan saya mudah..Kita tidak mempertahankan akidah melalui perhimpunan!
Kita boleh pertahankan akidah,melalui ILMU dan IMAN..


Sementara agama pula,dikembangkan dengan keindahan dan tunjuk ajar yang baik..

My story

Sejak kecil,saya dididik dengan ajaran agama yang kuat samada dari keluarga,ataupun pendidikan formal..Daripada kecil hingga selesai alam persekolahan,saya rapat dengan ustaz-ustaz..

Tetapi sejak zaman pra-sekolah,saya juga dididik oleh mubaligh-mubaligh Kristian..When I was in pre-school,setiap hari saya bersama dengan sister-sister di sekolah..Ketika berumur enam tahun..Then,in primary school,masih ada beberapa sisters yang menjaga di sekolah..We even went to the church,located next to the school a few times..Lagu sekolah,penuh dengan pujian kepada Saint Thomas,a holy person in Christianity..Lencana sekolah berserta lambang salib,dan burung merpati putih..Simbol nyata bagi agama mereka..

When I was 12,we went into a church in Austria,sebuah negara yang kuat fahaman Katolik nya..Ketika berumur 16 tahun,I've experienced a mass ceremony inside a church in Mexico..Sebuah gereja di mana Mary dikatakan pernah muncul di khalayak ramai..

Itu adalah pengalaman ketika kecil...I don't think I need to share my current experience..We leave it there for the time being..

Akidah,bukan terletak pada kunjungan kita ke tempat-tempat sedemikian,atau pergaulan kita dengan mana-mana orang..

Murtad,adalah masalah yang amat kompleks..I'm 100% sure that we can't solve it simply with a huge gathering of the ummah,or even with the implementation of  'Akta Hudud'..Ulamak juga masih bertelagah dalam soal ini..Terutama soal hukum bunuh,kerana ia tiada disebut dalam al-Quran..Hukum ini disebut dalam hadis-hadis yang dikatakan sahih..Kebanyakan hadis-hadis ini juga dikatakan datang dari Ikrimah,yang pernah dikatakan seorang pembohong,termasuk dari our famous hadith narrators,Malik dan Muslim sendiri..But I'm not a scholar..So I shall leave it to the scholars to solve it..

One of my seniors in high school,kini murtad dan sekarang menetap di Amerika..It was a surprise,as he was our Deputy Head Student,a prefect,and lead us in prayers most of the time..Asal dari Johor,a place considered to be very religious..Kes ini,tidak banyak diketahui oleh masyarakat Malaysia..As his junior,we were quite close to him..He played soccer together with me in the school team..Ada orang kata,sekarang dah jadi Father..Wallahualam..May Allah have mercy on him,and bring him back to the right path..

Bukan saya mahu menunjuk pandai,tetapi hanya ingin menekankan betapa pentingnya ilmu,dan iman berjalan seiringan,biarpun senipis kulit bawang..

Manusia sekarang,sibuk dengan mencari makanan dunia dan material,sehingga kadang-kadang lupa terhadap makanan rohani..Kita dijadikan daripada jasad yang ditiupkan roh ke dalamnya..Jasad akan luput satu hari nanti,dan kita akan kembali dalam bentuk asal kita,iaitu roh pabila sampai ketikanya sehingga hari kiamat..Jadi terpulang pada kita to find the 'food' for the roh,the real us..

Perjalanan spiritual seseorang mungkin berbeza..Di situlah perlunya kekuatan ilmu dan iman pada kadar yang seiringan..I am in the same shoes,masih memperbaiki apa yang mampu..Apa yang saya alami dalam hidup,tidak semestinya sama dengan apa yang anda alami dalam hidup..

Apa yang saya boleh kongsikan,hanya ILMU yang dapat mempertahankan kita,terutama ketika iman dalam keadaan yang goyang,dan hanya IMAN yang dapat mempertahankan kita,apabila ilmu yang ada tidak membantu..

Kesimpulannya,tiada apa yang kita perlu takut sehingga perlu kepada perhimpunan besar-besaran..Saya sendiri,secara jujur,sebenarnya lebih takut kepada mereka yang sebangsa dan seagama dengan saya,yang tidak mengamalkan ciri-ciri keislamannya..Kerana mereka ini lebih dekat dan jauh lebih berpengaruh dalam kehidupan seharian..

Kita akan lebih mudah terpengaruh dengan rakan-rakan seagama yang minum misalnya,daripada terpengaruh dengan mereka yang bukan seagama,kerana kita perlu menunjukkan keindahan agama kepada yang tidak mengetahui..Sebab natijah manusia,memang suka mengikut orang sekeliling yang rapat dengannya..

Bagaimana untuk meningkatkan ilmu dan iman samada untuk diri sendiri,keluarga atau anak-anak,masing-masing perlu mencarinya dan melaluinya sendiri..Perhimpunan,akta,enakmen,hukuman,dan apa-apa jenis protection pun di atas kertas,tidak akan dapat membantu..Sebab akidah adalah soal di dalam hati,bukan luaran..

May Allah,protect us all~

Malaysia wins AFF-Suzuki Cup on 4-2 aggregate; PM declares Friday a public holiday

JAKARTA: Malaysia has won the AFF-Suzuki Cup on a 4-2 aggregate. Indonesia won the second leg of the final 2-1 in Jakarta on Wednesday night while Malaysia had won the first leg 3-0 in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
The scorers for Indonesia were Mohammad Ridwan (87th minute) and Mohammad Nasuha (71st). Safee Sali had scored in the 53rd minute to put Malaysia 1-0 in the lead.
It was a significant success for Malaysia as the last time the senior national team became champions in a regional competition was at the 1989 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur.

It was also the first time in the AFF Championships since 1996 that Malaysia has become champions.
To make it a grand night for Malaysia, Safee won the Golden Boot award with five goals to his name. The striker was on target twice in the first leg.
Later Wednesday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak declared Friday, Dec 31, a public holiday in recognition of our team's AFF-Suzuki Cup triumph.
Malaysia started with the same line-up that was fielded in the first leg, except for midfielder Mohd Amirulhadi Zainal and right-back Mahali Jasuli, who were suspended. The duo were replaced by Mohd Ashaari Shamsuddin and Mohd Sabree Abu respectively.

The Indonesians were without their inspirational flanker Okto Maniani, who was also out on suspension while striker Yongky Ari Bowo was out with an injury. Their replacements were Arif Suyono and Irfan Bachdim respectively.
As expected, Indonesia came charging from the starting whistle but the Malaysian defence led by Mohd Muslim Ahmad and Mohd Fadhli Shas did well to keep a tight leash on Indonesian dangermen Christian Gonzales and Irfan Bachdim.
But a lapse of concentration inside the box resulted in Indonesia winning a penalty in the 15th minute, when Mohd Sabree handled the ball.

However, much to the disappointment of the Indonesian fans, skipper Firman Utina’s tame kick was saved by Malaysian goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.
The Indonesians, who were desperate for an early goal, kept on pressing for the opening goal but Khairul Fahmi proved to be a stumbling block, denying at least five attempts at goal before the half-time break.
Malaysia took the lead against the run of play in the 53rd minute, when Ashaari sent a long through ball for Safee to chase, and the Selangor hitman scored a clinical goal.

Despite being a goal down, Indonesia never gave up and their persistence paid off as defender Mohammad Nasuha pounced on a loose ball from goalkeeper Khairul’s save to hit the roof of the net in the 71st minute.
Then with the clock ticking away, Muhammad Ridwan scored from a goal-mouth melee in the 87th minute but this was not enough to deny Malaysia the AFF-Suzuki Cup.

Speechless!!!

I've watched so many games involving our national team for the past 20 years..Without any doubt,-December 26,2010-was the best thing ever..
Everything was PERFECTO!!!

Crazy environment outside the stadium before the match,stadium PENUH to its full capacity,4 hours full of singing,jumping and cheering, EVERYONE supported Malaysia (bukan macam time Man U/Chelsea datang aritu),...and the most important thing, we played well,main ada system,short passes,creative movements,we were calm tapi keras,full of fighting spirits,never gave up,kept the momentum till the final whistle..and WON!!Bukan satu,bukan dua...but 3-0!!!!

Feeling dia macam menang World Cup braderrr!!!(..Insyallah one day~)..Kale,Fairuz dah high sepanjang highway ke Subang with their Malaysian flags..haha!!!

The celebration was crazy!!!!No one cares about EPL that night..Barcelona ke,Real ke,Brazil ke,who cares!!

And I believe kalau semua orang datang sokong Malaysia macam ni,mana-mana team pun akan goyang.. Next time kalau Man U ke,Chelsea,Barca,Real Madrid or even Liverpool datang sekalipun,I hope everyone will give full support to our own national team,not foreign clubs like what we saw last Sunday.. Wear our own national team jersey!Truly speaking,I've never seen everyone was so united and busy cheering all the way (not swearing) in any of my experience before..

Hakikatnya,kita belum menang lagi..But I believe everyone was satisfied with the performance and the spirits.. Penyokong memang laa happy and celebrate macam dah menang..Cuma yang gua pelik,player pun celebrate macam dah menang piala..huhu!!!Takpe lah,kasi chance..:-)..After all,we haven't seen this kind of supports and self-believes in yearsssssss..

Warisan Merdeka

Dalam seminggu dua ni,topik yang paling banyak sekali dibincangkan dengan member-member adalah tentang Warisan Merdeka..Tak kira kat mana,atau ngan sapa-sapa..Some of my friends from Malaysia and Perth messaged me on BBM and YM to discuss about it..It also became a hot topic among friends here in Adelaide..Other than Lau Pan,Khadafi as my usual 'think-thank' group here,I was quite surprise when even people like Sheena and Hajar who are very young,also showed some interests in it..(I miss Sadesh when it comes to arguements..huhu)..

So this is what I think...Of course I am no one and not an important person,but this is my opinion..Dalam bahasa yang mudah,not too academical,dalam bahasa rakyat biasa..Bukan nak cerita dari segi growth projections ke,office space surplus,possible demands,bubbling economics etc..Yang tu semua PNB and Government,or the experts punya kerja laa..They should make their study..or you can do some research..

In my previous post,Bajet Handsome not long after it was unveiled,I've already stated my full support on it..I don't understand what's the 'hoo-haa' is all about,but I do understand people's concern on it..Which is good.. Yes,5 Billion is a lot of money..But it is for DEVELOPMENT people!!..Jangan kata duit PNB,kalau pakai duit kerajaan pun gua akan sokong..It's for Kuala Lumpur,her image and future..

Sears Tower,Chicago

Of course I would like to see my own country to have some high-class buildings and better environment.. Itulah yang saya rasa setiap kali ke luar negara..Waktu berumur 10 tahun,saya berkesempatan ke Sears Tower (sekarang Willis Tower),di Chicago,bangunan tertinggi di dunia ketika itu..On top of the building,dalam kepala sebagai seorang budak darjah 4 time tu,saya dah terfikir,"Why didn't we have one like this?"..And you know,exactly 9 years after that,Petronas Twin Tower surpassed it as the tallest building in the world..Who would have thought of that??Dalam banyak-banyak negara,kita pulak..After 24 years of Sears Tower being there..No one thought it was possible for Malaysia..

I am not keen on the idea of being the tallest,the biggest,the longest or what so ever..But I am into high-class developments and clean environment..Wouldn't it be nice if we can have a lot of good things in our own backyards..In Europe,they made buildings that can be used for hundred years,well maintained,some with amazing artistic value..In Australia,they are very much into green developments..In Shanghai,Hong Kong, Japan,Singapore,they have skycrapers and crowded,but clean..Kat US,macam-macam jenis building lagi.. Things like this kita kena belajar,dan bawak balik..Develope it in our own style..

I always have discussions with Hadry about buildings, landscaping,streetscaping,heritage conservation,sustainability and such..The main problem is usually about money..Idea banyak, tapi tiada peruntukan..Akhirnya,banyak pembangunan dibuat secara ala kadar..In terms of design,implementation dan sebagainya..So nampak gaya kali ni,these people have money for this Warisan Merdeka project..Buatlah yang terbaik..They have good track records,let us give them a chance..

What we can do as a normal citizen is to keep on reminding them..To make sure they have a proper planning,first-rate management,strict control, and try to minimize the risks..Risks will always be there..But those who never dare to take a risk,will never achieve success remember?..

Keep on giving good arguments,don't just simply support or objecting things blindly..Give them feedbacks..This article 'Sky high risk in Malaysia' is one good example by Anil Netto..

Apapun,untuk menjamin kejayaan negara,bukan bersandarkan pada pembinaan menara..Ia hanyalah sekadar satu usaha dalam bentuk fizikal untuk membawa kita ke hadapan,satu idea..Yang lebih penting adalah kestabilan politik,perpaduan antara kaum,perubahan minda dan budaya masyarakat dan tiada rasuah..Yang ini takyah tunggu Government,PNB or sapa-sapa..Kita yang kena buat..Takde yang ni,jangan cakap menara,nak buat rumah kos rendah pun belum tentu..

HUMAN DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR, MELBOURNE

1. I would like to apologise to the students and others for failing to turn up to give the talk I had agreed to.

2. I would also like to thank those who sent get well messages, fruits and flowers while I was in hospital in Melbourne.

3. Honestly I feel I have lost an opportunity to meet and talk to what may be the future leaders of Malaysia. For this reason I am writing down here what would have been the contents of my talk.

4. The suggested topic for my talk was, "Are we ready for 1 Malaysia: Does Race Still Play a Part?"

5. I will be frank but factual. My only interest is the country we all love. I am past self-interest.

6. First let me refer to the slogan "1 Malaysia".

7. Without the Government spelling out the precise meaning of 1 Malaysia, different people are giving their own interpretations which not only differ from each other but are in conflict with each other.

8. The Malays generally interprete 1 Malaysia to mean real adoption of the national language as the home language by every citizen as happens in other multiracial countries. They also expect the abolition of Chinese and Tamil schools and ensuring the private sector has a fair participation of Malays and other Bumiputeras.

9. The Chinese and Indians interprete 1 Malaysia to mean amendments to the constitution to eliminate provisions for the special treatment of the Malays and their protection by the Rulers, removal of the quota for Malays in the Civil Service, termination of the NEP, termination of the 30 per cent quota for Malays and indigenous people in business, termination of the quota for awards of licences, contracts and Aps. All awards to be on a competitive basis and open to all irrespective of race. They also expect perpetuation and maintenance of Chinese and Indian schools by the Government.

10. These two interpretations of 1 Malaysia admittedly are by the more extreme groups. The more moderate ones from both sides are milder in their expectations but their minimum intetrpretations still provide irreconcilable conflicts. 1 Malaysia clearly means different things to the different races.

11. This is the present position and it is obvious that race still play a very important role.

12. Question: It is now more than 50 years since independence. For how long do the Malays expect to be treated as special and different from the other citizens?

Answer: For as long as the Chinese and Indians prefer to be identified with their countries of origins. For as long as they want to keep their home languages and their schools.

13. Question: The so-called social contract were made a long time ago. We were not involved and we cannot be bound by it forever. When can we ignore the social contract and draw up our own social contract?

Answer: When everyone agrees to throw out the old social contract and replace it with a new one.

This will take a long time. As the new contract will be between races, racial factors would be included. Unless both sides agree to give up their races' own rights as spelt out in the first contract i.e. the preservation of own home languages and schools etc. the rights of the indigenous races to their special position etc must remain a part of the new social contract.

It is not certain that each would not demand for more than what they got under the old contract. It is likely there would be no agreement and no contract. Ths would lead to perpetual conflicts.

14. Question: So there will be no solution. The racial divisions and conflicts will remain.

Answer: In Vision 2020 one of the objectives is to create a bangsa Malaysia.

The belief at that time was that if Malaysia becomes a fully developed country, it would become very prosperous.

This prosperity would be fairly shared between the races. There would be less jealousy between them. There would also be less fear of any race being dominated by any other race.

The political cooperation between the races would also be made more meaningful as loyalty to the country would override other loyalties. In fact non-racial parties would be the trend.

It would take a long time perhaps - depending on fair wealth distribution. But once it takes off the pace will increase.

Malaysians of all races would be so proud of their country and its great achievements that the desire to be linked with other countries would be much diminished if not disappear altogether (as happens in prosperous multi-racial countries like the US - where the German, Eisenhower led the war against Germany. Eisenhower was American first and his country of origin was irrelevant to him).

The Malaysians at that stage would be Bangsa Malaysia first and always. The thing to do now is to ensure prosperity for the country and its fair distribution. Removing current rights of any of the races at this moment will only lead to racial conflicts which would obstruct prosperity.

15. Question: There are Malays in the opposition who condemn the NEP as unfair discrimination.

Answer: There are also Chinese and Indians who appreciate what the Malays have done and support the NEP. They are not so vocal for obvious reasons.

One should look at the Malays who condemn the NEP. If they are politicians or supporters of certain parties their views are motivated by a desire to get Chinese support. They assume that they themselves would lead the nation and enjoy power and opportunities through Chinese support. But there will be a pay-back period. The support is not for free. The Malay leaders will be like Nizar (Jamaluddin) when he was Menteri Besar of Perak - mere puppets.

The non-politically educated Malays feel ashamed that they have to be helped. They would like to be recognised as people who succeeded on their own. If we study these people almost invariably they have benefited from the NEP. They appear to be ashamed of this.

They are ashamed to admit that they were unable to compete with the other races. I am not ashamed to admit that I cannot compete with the Chinese and Indian students when studying medicine. They had much better results than me and the other six Malay students for entry into the Medical College. Even at that time the British promised to the Rulers to help educate the Malays. I had my chance because of the affirmative action then. On pure merit I would not be a doctor today, not because I was not qualified, but my qualification was lower than others.

One has to remember that the Chinese civilisation is more than 4000 years old. No other civilisation has lasted that long. Naturally they have developed a culture better able to survive under all conditions. It is my belief that if the percentage of Chinese in the United Kingdom for example is the same as in Malaysia, UK would be better developed than it is now. It is not surprising that the Chinese excel in developing Malaysia (for which they are amply rewarded).

It is not shameful to lose out against them. Simply to catch up with them we need handicaps. To be given handicaps is to ensure fairness, not discrimination. That is why in golf you have handicaps. That is why in all contests there must be equality between the contestants.

It is selfish if having benefited from the handicaps you want to deny others from having them.

But when all is said and done, those who are given the benefits of handicaps must make honest efforts to use them properly. If they don't then they must forfeit the handicaps in the future.

Demokrasi,meritokrasi dan sebagainya adalah ciptaan manusia yang mempunyai kelemahan..Sementara ia penting untuk kemajuan,ia juga perlu digunakan secara sesuai mengikut acuan negara..Negara semakin maju,rakyatnya pula menjadi semakin tamak..Waktu negara tiada apa-apa,semua orang semangat membantu antara satu sama lain..'Equality for all' tidak menjamin kejayaan..Bukankah 'communism' juga timbul daripada idea kesamarataan?..

Malaysia buat masa ini boleh diibaratkan seperti sebuah rumahtangga oleh seorang suami dengan 4 orang isteri yang bermadu...Bini pertama-Bumiputera,kedua-Cina,tiga-India,keempat-others..Kedudukan tidak pernah akan sama,tetapi keadilan perlu diberi kepada semuanya..Rumahtangga akan bergolak jika semuanya tidak bertolak ansur..Juga penting untuk Malaysia mempunyai suami (pemimpin) yang tegas dan adil untuk keharmonian..Jika tidak,yang akan menjadi mangsa,adalah anak-anak (generasi masa depan)..Insyallah everything will change towards the better when the Bumis are not longer living in fear,and the Non-Bumis no longer live in skeptical..Wallahualam..

I wish one day I can be like them too..

MALAYSIA~...We are still new and developing..and for a young nation like us,I think we have done quite well,no one can argue that..Of course there are a lot of room for improvements,and there were few mistakes here and there..

Malaysia can be considered as one of the most complicated country in the world..Trust me..In everything we do,we have to consider everyone..If we want to build school,we have to build school for everyone..Malay school,Chinese school,Indian school,English school, Agama school,etc..you name it..If we want to have holiday,we have to give holiday to everyone..Raya holiday,Chinese New Year holiday,Deepavali,Thaipusam, Christmas Holiday,whatever it is,you ask for it..The last time I went back to Malaysia,even the "1Malaysia" song are sung in 7 or 8 language..It doesn't sound right for me..Instead of being ONE,we became "8Malaysia" it seems..haha..Sigh..Sometimes I do think we are a confused country..There is no other country that is too lenient like us..I haven't found any,but still,we are complaining..

But,as I said before,we are still young..We are still learning..We will go through all these phases step by step.. All great countries experienced this kind of things before they become any great..America has experienced this thing back in the 60's,70's..We have experienced some difficulties too,and we have overcome it together.. Most of the time people will become united when there's a common purpose..We had few before,and we were united..In 1957,everyone got united,because everyone shared the same dream,to be independent..Then after the 13th May tragedy,everyone got united again to rebuild the country..I am not saying that we need another crisis, in order to make us unite again..Eventhough I do think that crisis will re-ignite peoples' spirit and be united to achieve more success..Look at Japan after the WW, look at the Jews after the Holocaust, look at China after Mao Tse Tung, Renaissance,etc..I'll elaborate more about this in other post..But anyway, we don't need to come until that stage to achieve success..

We are unique..We even achieved independence peacefully from British..Not so many country could have done that..We solved problems in our own way..and we will solve this problem again..But all this hypes about racial issues back home has to stop..It's too much now..Like my housemate,a cute Sabahan Chinese guy said,"Maybe all the politicians should watch the movie,"Remember the Titans".. haha..Another friend of mine,who has Chinese blood,or you can say mixture of everything (hehe..sorry Daf),even give a cooler idea.."Maybe we need more inter-racial marriage".. which I think I'll give it a very deep consideration this time..haha..So, mana-mana yang ada member amoi tu,ehem ehem..hehe..kidding..

Yes,we are not in crisis yet but who knows what can happen.It's not too late..I still have high hopes for Malaysia..Don't let anyone destroy what ever we have achieved..And yes,we will achieve true unity as Malaysian..

Too much critics won't help anyway..This topic is too huge to be written in here.. Just hoping that one day we will understand each other better and better..Will write again about this issue from time to time..Today, let us all 'bersyukur' with everything we have,and work harder to achieve more..

Hmm,not too bad.. Australia is ranked 4th in the world..

Based from what I see from it, among the countries that has > 20 millions population,we are ranked at 12th,it is not bad at all...and guess what, Australia, 1st..great.. This excludes all the small countries like Singapore,Luxembourg etc.. The bigger the country,the harder to manage for me..
